Encar listings

Encar is the largest used-car marketplace in South Korea. It is not an auction: a listing has an asking price, no bids, no auction date and no seller reserve. Its listings come through the same endpoints as Copart and IAAI, in the same vehicle and lot shape.

Source ID

Encar is domain_id=12 on /cars and encar_com in /search-lot/{lot}/encar_com. Without domain_id, /cars returns Encar together with the other sources your key includes.

Listing ID

lots[].lot holds the Encar listing ID. Look it up with /search-lot/{lot}/encar_com and always pass encar_com: Copart lot numbers and Encar listing IDs can look alike.

Price

lots[].buy_now is the asking price in US dollars where available; details.original_price is the asking price in Korean won (KRW). /exchange-rate-krw-usd returns US dollars per 1 KRW: multiply a KRW amount by rate. bid, final_bid and seller_reserve stay null.

Listing details

Encar lots carry lots[].details, which Copart and IAAI lots do not: original_price, is_leasing, is_brand_certified, seats_count, engine_volume, first_registration, option codes, inspection and insurance history. Fields can be missing; read them defensively.

Options

details.options lists option codes in standard, choice, tuning and etc. /korea-options is the dictionary that names them. Cache it and refresh it now and then.

Filters

Encar takes the same /cars filters: make, model, year, body, fuel, transmission, drive, color, mileage. Use odometer_*_km, and buy_now_price_* for the asking price. Auction-only filters (bid_price_*, sale_date_*, damage, document_title, state_code) match no Encar listing. country=KR selects Korea.

Re-listings

Encar sellers re-list cars under new IDs. /korea-duplicates returns the pairs (original_id, duplicate_id) so you can merge them; /search-lot follows a re-listing by itself.
