About the Japanese used car market
Japan is one of the largest exporters of used cars. Buyers in right-hand drive countries such as the UK, Kenya, Pakistan and New Zealand, and in many other markets, look for Japanese cars because they are well kept and often have low mileage.
Japanese sites write prices in units of 10,000 yen (万円), give the model year in the Japanese era as well (R1 for 2019) and show the total price with fees (支払総額) next to the car. Our API reads them and gives you whole numbers in JPY.
